The Mariandale Retreat & Conference Center is pleased to host an Art Show of Sr. Marion Beagen’s watercolor paintings in the chapel at Mariandale, starting on Sunday, April 30, 2017 and running through May 31. Admission is by free will donation.
About the Paintings
The watercolors displayed have been painted by Sr. Marion since she turned 70 years of age. While she always wanted to paint, she did not have the time or concentration until after semi-retirement.
Sr. Marion’s paintings celebrate the seasons and essence of nature. They inspire us to always be open to creativity and to new expressions of our individuality.
About the Artist
Sr. Marion’s life is filled with an appreciation for art. Throughout her education, she often spent her study hall periods and free time in the art and music studios. Sr. Marion became inspired at age 70 to begin painting. Her rich approach to the use of color and appreciation for nature and her surroundings envelop her work.
Now, at age 87, Sr. Marion has agreed to share her beautiful vision with us all with “Potpourri of Watercolors.”
