Catholic-Lutheran Unity Day: The Roots We Share

The Dominican Sisters of Hope and the Mariandale Center will host a celebration of Catholic-Lutheran Unity on Saturday, September 30, 2017, from 9:30 to 3:30.

This event honors the 500th anniversary of the Reformation and the common threads shared by the Catholic and Lutheran faiths.

Co-Presenters are Pastor Carol E. A. Fryer, Pastor and Spiritual Care and Church Relations at the Wartburg in Mount Vernon, NY; and Reverend Trevor Nicholls, Our Lady of Perpetual Help/Saint Catharine Parish, Pelham, NY.

The co-presenters will lead a 10 am presentation titled: “Catholic-Lutheran Relations: 500 Years Later

Tentative schedule for the day is:

9:30 am:  Coffee and Welcome
10:00: Presentation
12 noon:   Lunch
1:15 pm:  Presentation/Discussion
3:30:  Ecumenical Prayer Experience
