Summer Qigong: Learn to Expand Your Awareness

Summer Qigong Series on Wednesday evenings 7-8pm

July 11 thru Aug. 8, 2018 on the grounds of Mariandale

Qigong is a moving meditation practice that has been used for thousands of years to promote vitality and longevity. Sometimes referred to as Chinese or Daoism Yoga, it combines breath practice with moving meditation. Ancient practitioners studied the natural world and the changing seasons and recognized how the same energetic changes they observed in nature also occur in predictable cycles during our lives. Qigong applies this knowledge to bring mind, body, and spirit into alignment with Universal energy.

This Qigong practice will incorporate both the Chinese Five Element Theory and The Meridian Theory for a very holistic approach to this fluid standing meditation practice.

Qigong is a health cultivation/restorative discipline that is accessible to everybody. It can be practiced anywhere, and requires no special equipment.

All are welcome to attend, no prior experience necessary. No particular attire is required, only to dress comfortably.

Dates & Times: Wednesday, July 11, 18, 25 & Aug. 1, 8, 2018

Presenter: David Nahon

Fee: $15 per session

Sunday, September 17, from 10-11am, is the start of our late Summer/Fall Qigong series with David Nahon.

We will meet outside on the picnic grounds. Come and practice Qigong  on the beautiful grounds of Mariandale while the weather is still warm. All levels of experience are welcome. David Nahon will be leading the practices.

Learn how to open energy channels within the body through a series of simple low impact meditative movements. The practice is designed to improve overall health and vitality, restoring natural harmony. Practices will be held regardless of the weather; we  will move inside on inclement weather days.

This is a drop-in series. You may attend as many or few sessions as you wish.

Qigong is held on four consecutive Sundays: Sept. 17, 24, Oct. 1,and 8. A $10 donation appreciated.
