A Spirituality of Film (Part 3): Creation of God’s Redemptive Love

July 26 @ 5:00 pm - August 1 @ 1:00 pm

All New Retreat, no need to have attended Parts 1 & 2

“…are we all lost stars/trying to light up the dark?” (song lyric)

This all-new guided retreat will continue a ‘two-themed’ approach: the call to be God’s partners in creating and giving witness to a redemptive love in the world…and how the art of film communicates such a spirituality for prayer/reflection. As the poet W.H. Auden says: “We must love one another or die.”

Topics will include:

  • Co-creative human/divine powers of redemptive love
  • The ‘multi-colored Loves of God’
  • Love’s power in the healing of wounds
  • The ‘fleshy love’ of ‘God’s Body’
  • Hope in the redeeming justice of love

(Eucharist celebrated daily; please bring a Bible and notebook/journal.)
