“We grow spiritually much more by doing it wrong than by doing it right” Richard Rohr
If you are longing for a new view of how spiritual growth happens, you may enjoy five sessions of pre-reading some chapters, reflecting prayerfully and discussing with others the profound content of the book Falling Upward by Richard Rohr.
Participants will explore two major evolving stages of spiritual life. In the first stage we are devoted to establishing our identity, letting ourselves be shaped by the norms and practices of our family and faith community. If we welcome the losses, crises, failings in the second half of life we learn to hear a deeper voice of God saying: “I have not abandoned you even if you are sure that I have.” Please purchase the book prior to the first session and read the introduction, chapters 1 & 2.
Date & Time: Tuesdays, Feb. 4, Mar. 3, Apr. 7, May 5, and June 2 from 1-3pm.
Presenter: Nancy Erts, OP
