Learn Traditional Japanese Reiki (Shoden) level 1- and take your well-being into your own hands. Reiki is a system of natural healing from Japan that is based on mindfulness practices and light touch. Reiki practice helps promote relaxation, stimulate the body’s innate healing response, and support personal development and growth.
Shoden is a Japanese word meaning “first teachings.” These are the first teachings of the system of Reiki. In this practical two-day course, you will learn how to help yourself with a daily healing practice and how you can also help your friends and family using Japanese healing techniques.
Day 1: Reiki overview, history, use and benefits; Reiki precepts, meditation & centering techniques, Reiki self-care (protocol for hands-on healing on the self).
Day 2: Additional meditation technique and practice; sharing Reiki with others (chair and table protocols).

Material fee for the Reiki 1 (Shoden) manual: $20 payable to the instructor on Day 1.

Andrea Kartika Deierlein is a graduate teacher of the International House of Reiki. She practices and teaches a traditional Japanese form of the system of Reiki, which is easily accessible, yet deeply rooted in spirituality. As a Reiki professional, Andrea focuses on helping her clients become in tune with themselves. As a teacher, she provides ongoing support for her students and other practitioners who were trained in different Reiki traditions.
Requirements for Reiki Level 1 (Shoden) Certificate
To be completed up to one year from date of training.
*These Reiki Shares or Practice Evenings can also be run by other Reiki practitioners/teachers. Please make sure that these shares or (sometimes they are also called) Circles are for Reiki practice only – and that you get to share and receive Reiki. When submitting this information to me, please include the dates you attended and the name of the practitioner/teacher.
**I offer a certification range fee especially for my students, which is $85 (my normal one-hour session rate is $110), if you have received a professional Reiki session in the last three months (before the course date), please let me know the name of the practitioner and the date of the session and that requirement will be waived for you.
